Terms of Service
The rules for playing Rather.gg: your account, fair play, content, and the legal bits.
Last updated August 17, 2026
The short version
Rather.gg is a game for fun. Play nice, don't break it or abuse it, and remember that the opinions in the questions are just prompts to spark debate, not advice. These Terms are the agreement between you and Catalyst Tech BV ("we," "us"), the company that runs Rather.gg. By using the site you agree to them.
Who can play
You need to be at least 13 years old to use Rather.gg. If you're under the age of digital consent in your country, please only play with a parent or guardian's permission. You can play anonymously, or sign in with a supported provider to save your streaks, stats, and achievements.
Your account
If you sign in, you're responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Keep your display name and avatar appropriate: no impersonation, hate speech, or anything unlawful. We may suspend or remove accounts that break these Terms.
Playing fair
When you use Rather.gg, you agree not to:
- Cheat, script, or automate votes to game the leaderboard or stats.
- Try to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the site.
- Scrape or resell our content, or use it to train models, without permission.
- Harass other players or interfere with anyone else's ability to play.
Questions you create
If you submit a question, prompt, or other content, you keep ownership of it but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, adapt, and share it within Rather.gg. Only submit content you have the right to share, and keep it free of hate speech, illegal material, private information about others, and spam. We may edit, reject, or remove any submission, and we don't guarantee it'll ever appear in the game.
Our content
Rather.gg, including the questions we write, the design, logo, and code, belongs to Catalyst Tech BV and is protected by intellectual property laws. You get a personal, non-transferable license to use the site for its intended purpose. Everything else is reserved.
Copyright & takedowns
We respect intellectual property, and we expect the same from our community. If you believe something on Rather.gg infringes your copyright, let us know through our Contact page using the "Copyright / DMCA" option. Please include enough detail to identify the work and where it appears (a link or the question), your contact information, and a statement that you're the rights holder or authorized to act for them. We review valid notices promptly, remove or disable infringing content, and may remove accounts of repeat infringers. If you think your content was taken down by mistake, reach out the same way and we'll take another look.
Your data
You're in control of your data. You can play anonymously, adjust what's visible on your profile and the leaderboard, and delete your account any time from your settings. Our Privacy & Cookies page explains exactly what we keep, how long, and the choices you have.
Ads & free play
Rather.gg is free and paid for by advertising. Your cookie choices control whether ads are personalized, and you can review and change them any time on our Privacy & Cookies page.
No guarantees
Rather.gg is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it running and fun, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that your stats will never be lost. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Catalyst Tech BV isn't liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the site. Nothing here limits rights you have that can't be waived under applicable law.
Changes & ending access
We may update these Terms as Rather.gg evolves; if we make significant changes we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to play after changes means you accept them. We may also change, pause, or discontinue features, and you can stop using Rather.gg at any time. Push notifications are optional: you can enable or disable them whenever you like from the menu or your device settings.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and any disputes will be handled by the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory local consumer law says otherwise.
